Cellular Shades

measure1Measuring the width of A WINDOW INSIDE FRAME

If you wish our shades to be hanged from the inside of the frame of the window measurements should be taken as follows:

For example, if the distance between the two walls where the window is located is 70 inches, the width measurement for our new shades 70 inches.

If the shade is going to be hanged from the inside of the window frame, we will  measure the top (A), the middle (B), and the bottom (C), of the inside of the window. Write down as your measurement the smallest of the three measurements.

The height will be measured  from the inside of the frame on both sides (D) and (E) and write down as your measurement the smallest of the two measurements.

measure2Measuring the width of  A SPLIT WINDOW  INSIDE  FRAME

If the shade is going to be hanged from the inside of the window frame and we need two shades for the same window, we will need to place two separate orders, one for the left side of the window and another for the right side of the window.

We will  measure, the top (A) and (D),  the middle (B) and (E), and the bottom (C) and (F) of the inside of the window frame to the middle of the window. We will take the smallest measurement of each of the sides and subtract 1/8 of an inch from both sides. That is, if the smallest measurement of the left side of the window is to measurement (B) and comes out to be 36 inches, we will subtract 1/8 of an inch to both sides, therefore, the width measurement of the left side of the window will be 35 ¾. The same process applies to the right side of the window.

The height will be measured  from the inside of the frame on both sides: (G) and (H), each of these two measurements will be applied to the corresponding order, that is, the order for the right side of the window and the order for the left side of the window.

measure3Measuring the width of  A WINDOW OUTSIDE FRAME

If we are going to hang the shade outside of the window frame, we will measure the window (A) and we will add 4 inches on both sides of the window.

For example, if the size of the window is 70 inches, the width measurement will be 78 inches.

The height measurement (B) will be measured 6 to 10 inches above the upper side of the window frame to the lowest part where we want the shade to rest.

If we want the shade to be hanging from the ceiling, we will measure from the ceiling to the lowest part where we want the shade to rest.

measure4Measuring the width of  A SPLIT WINDOW OUTSIDE FRAME

If we are going to hang the shade outside the window frame,  and we need two shades for the same window, we will need to place two separate orders, one for the left side of the window and another for the right side of the window.

We will  measure from the middle  of the window and we will add 4 inches to right side of the window and 4 inches to the left side of the windows (A) and (B). For example, if the size of the left side of  the  window is 36 inches, the width measurement for our new shades is 40 inches. The height measurement (C) and (D) will be measured 6 to 10 inches above the upper side of the window frame. Each of these two measurements will be applied to the corresponding order, that is, the order for the right side of the window and the order for the left side of the window.

If we want the shade to be hanging from the ceiling, we will measure from the ceiling to the lowest part where we want the shade to rest.
